| Oct. 21 JohnBob Men's 65 256 posts | Congrags to Robson for their win in our division. I did not see the game but hear they won finals of winner bracket 9-7 over Gusto,my Question to Gusto's How did you hold them to 9 runs? We could not get them out in the finals. It sure was good to see the Gusto team again our Jim & Joe's team had some great games with them in 55's and looks like 60's will be the same. I would like to say that this was a very even Tourney and SSUSA as always did a good job of not letting teams play down. I don't know about aaa or aa but feel that both were very even also and if a team calls and says we'll come but want to play down SSUSA will tell them to stay home,which set them apart fron other associations. How we place 2rd I don't know.The ball not being real hot helped us alot being that we hit very few HR's and it made defence a bigger part of the game. One plus we had was something that's unhear of in Senior ball is a guy that don't want to play all he wants to do is RUN and boy did he run. Larry gets mad if I put him in to run for someone on 1st base and he gets forced at 2rd because he wants to score. We are sure lucky to have him because we only had one Pitcher and when he got a hit Larry was there to run for him which was the only way he could have pitched 9 game's in the heat. |
