Jan. 24 hombre Men's 60 240 posts | Negotiating a sponsorship We are a self funded team with uniforms,and will participate in about ten tournaments this year. We are planning on approaching several businesses concerning a sponsorship. After explaining that having their name on our uniforms with increase their bottom line dramatically, where do you go from there? If they won't foot the entire bill for uniforms and all fees, how much for company name on shirts and or hats? I know that some of the greatest minds in all of softball read this board on a regular basis. I'm sure that someone out there can help. Thanks, Hombre |
Jan. 24 #6 Men's 60 1173 posts | r hombre, i the guy on our team who tries to hustle the sponsorhips.Now is a hard time with the economy being what it is. What I do to get my foot in the door is tell them we will put thier names on all of the shirts we have.I usually ask for $1500-$2000.I tell them, this will have their name screened printed on the shirts and leave us a little for tournaments and balls.If we win,I take them a team picture and the trophy.If all goes well,I can usually go back later in the season and get some more money.Just try and get your foot in the door first and don't ask for too much and then take it from there.
