Just finished the tourney at the 60 level-enjoyed it-will go back. I have one concern. It is the 1st time I have played in Senior ball with a "7" run limit instead of "5" during pool play. It was interesting and I can deal with it. However, on the 2nd day in the double elimination part, we played unlimited runs every inning. When you combine this with a 0-0 count and most batters taking 1 to 2 strikes and no time limit of any kind, it made for the longest day of my senior softball career. I was asked by 2 different players on 2 different teams if I was as tired as they were. I love to play ball, but games lasting over 1 & 1/2 + hours in humid and hot conditions really detracted from the quality of the tourney because everyone was so exhausted. I also heard some say they wouldn't come back with that format. However, It's in the SPA rules.
I like the "5" run limit, unlimited "7th" and the 1-1 count with a gurantee of "7" full innings unless the slaughter rule comes into effect. Does anyone have thoughts on this.

Gary,
I feel your pain, I play in humid Florida and we get into acclimatization training real quick, our team manager hold practice between 2 and 4 pm. I am OK with 7 runs in pool play, however, I want unlimited during the double elimination. I hate going to the field with 3 outs still in hand.
