TOC Mini-Fun Tourney is set to go!

Where: Auburndale Softball Complex after the "Skills Competitions"
When: Thursday, February 11, 2010 • 12:15 thru 3:15 PM game times
Who: TOC Teams and individual "free agent" players looking for fun

The Mini-schedule is online here:

Mini-Fun Tourney 2010

For the TOC Mini-Fun Tourney on Thursday afternoon, 22 teams signed up to play. Each team will play two games under the following (highly unconventional but guaranteed fun) format:

• Three Age Groups: 50/55's, 60/65's and 70/75's, all playing two games each within those age brackets.
• All games are three innings or 35 minutes, finish current inning. Extra-inning games NOT allowed.
• Home team bats in the bottom of the 3rd, regardless of score, but NO open innings (5 run maximum in play)
• Rosters will NOT be checked! (That's why the "free agent" players are encouraged to be there!) Last year, Corky from Miken, Mike Macenko, Kevin Schullstrom, 'Bogie' and even a couple of umpires were in the "free agent" pool.
• There are NO age or rating equalizers, but teams are welcome to negotiate their own deals!
• Home Runs: Two (2) per team per game, Outs thereafter.

Many teams are arriving with less than a full complement of players by mid-day Thursday. We are confident, and will do just about anything reasonable, to ensure a FUN time for all by getting anyone who wishes to play on a team! ... Have a great time!

BY POPULAR DEMAND, the TOC Mini-Tourney has been expanded to 26 teams to accommodate a few late entries and a few we missed the first time around! ... New teams in this schedule are the KC Barons (50), California Black Hawks (55), New Jersey Hitmen (55) and Back Office Associates (70) ... As mentioned previously, a lot of teams will not have their full complement of players available by Thursday mid-day ... Any and all interested "Free Agents" are encouraged to drop by the Auburndale Sports Complex when your age group is playing and we'll get you onto rosters of the teams that are a little short-handed on Thursday ... Revised Mini-Tourney Schedules have been posted and are available from the link in the preceding message ... Have fun!

ONE MORE TIME! ... The TOC Mini-Fun Tourney is now completely full, with 27 teams filling all 27 available game slots on Thursday afternoon ... The schedule has been re-done to squeeze in the final team, the Long Island Jaguars (65) ... No more team entries will be accepted, but all "Free Agents" wanting to play are encouraged to drop by the Auburndale Complex ready to play and check in with the Directors for placement on teams that may not have a full roster present ... Have fun!

The current (final) version Mini-Schedule remains available from the click-thru link in the first message of this thread.
