Conman, and the rest of the Morgan Keegan Softball team congratulations on your TOC Championship. Although unable to tell you personally after the game, you guys played great with a lot of class and deserved the win. Hard fought/ close competitive games is what Senior Softball is all about.

Con..tell your 2nd/ss they played lights out, and look forward to seeing you guys many times this year...

Hey Vinnie, thanks for the congrats. I think this is Vinnie from Windy City? Congratulations to you guys also. I know you would have much rather have taken the title, but I'm sure you there are many others in your future.

I didn't get a chance to meet you, but Con speaks highly of you and you certainly didn't do anything to prove his assessment wrong. I hated seeing you and the left fielder leave to catch your flight. Okay, I didn't hate it too much since you stole a hit from me but it would have been nice to end the tournament with both teams at full strength.

You guys take care and have a good, safe year. I'm sure we'll see you around the campus.

Vin,

Thanks for the props. It's always great to see you, Rocky, and Bob. You guys are and always have been a class team and have a great bunch of guys. Sorry you couldn't be there at the end. All 3 games, while not always pretty, were hard fought as they always are when we hook up.

Any of the 9 teams could have won the tournament. The competition was even and the scores were close in tournament play. A little luck here and there and 2 other teams could have played for the title instead of us. It was just our turn this weekend.

Our shortstop is Roger Bard and our second baseman and captain is Jimmy Gardner. Those 2 guys make me want to keep playing because they are gamers. It is my good fortune to play on the same team with them.

Did Rocky ever find his way to the airport? I thought about sending him to Orlando from Auburndale by way of Miami. He would love it down here!!

John Beasley is one of my oldest buds in the game and another reason I keep playing.

I'll e-mail you my address.

Rock .. glad you got home safe. We had to "suffer" with 75 degree temperatures and no clouds here on Monday. Was terrible.(LOL)
Our pitcher Curt is fine. No problem there. Hopefully we'll see each other down the road. Good luck to you and as always be safe.

Butch .. sorry we couldn't talk more. You have to make it down for a FHC tourney again and we'll share more stories. Always a pleasure
to see you.

John, Same here...Although I didn't get formally introduced.. Con told me much about you..He said you hit the crap out the ball, and he was right..
As far as leaving during the championship game anytime you can't help your team win you feel your letting them down...but it was the last flight back that night to our Winterwonder land known as Milwaukee...And work is work..

Con...30" snow and 14 degrees when we landed what's not to love...Hate to see you Southern Fla boys SUFFERING in 75 and sun..Let us know where you will be playing this year.. would be fun hooking up.....
