Some random thoughts while driving home from the SPA Qualifier in Kansas City

1. 485 miles is a long way to drive for a two day tournament

2. There's not much to see between KC and Plano, TX

3. This stuff is expensive

Gas: $100
Hotel: $230
Meals for wife and me: $60 (we eat cheap)
Total $390

Innings played: 42
At Bats: 23

Cost per inning: $9.28
Cost per at bat: $16.95

I think golf might be cheaper.

4. Everything hurts today

5. One umpire can't possibly get everything right.

6. Does anybody understand the bat rules?

7. There are a lot of great people involved in this game (among others, I got to visit with Crusher, who posts on this board)

8. Boy was this fun!

9. Why don't we do it more often?
