May 5 hombre Men's 60 240 posts | Temperature and Bat Performance I've read many discussions concerning temperature's effect on ball performance, but I don't recall having read anything on temperature's effect on bat performance. Does the temperature affect bat performance? |
May 5 hitman Men's 70 339 posts | r Hombre, Missed you over the weekend, last game was a really good game!!!!!!!!!! The hotter the bat the hotter the bat. Now does that make sense? We tried one of the Bat warmers in Winter Haven and it seemed to be OK, It's really hard to tell how much it helps performance but a hotter bat flexes more and adds to the launch. Also it's a help in the life of the bat if the ambient air is much colder then the bat is stiff and tends to crack and split in the fibers and resin. We do a lot of fiberglass testing when we do bird strikes and cold temperature requirements are always a problem. Hot temps just never seem to be a problem so that my basis for the hotter temps being better. The Hitman |

We're not sure if we're going to Louisville or to Pensacola so I don't know when I'll catch up to you guys. I don't know if I should be looking forward to it with you guys being such a power house.Take care, Hombre |
