ASSN's have know for at least 7 years they got it all wrong IF SAFERY WAS THEIR GOAL.
I doubt it was.
Perhaps in a year or so when the new standard is out they will figure it out.
But you can count on different balls being used.

Don't you love it Joe...lol well I don't really like it either but changes will be made.
What's next after that, who knows,,, bats... good question. I hope not, but given the new 1.2 BP,
don't you be surprised.
