WHAT'S UP WITH THE LONG GRASS?
Tournament director: Why the excessively long grass in the outfields? LVSSA at Shadow Rock, Rock 'N Reno in Carson City, and last weekend at the Midwest Championships in Shawnee, Kansas.

The grass is so long, a grounder through the infied will stop rolling in the outfield. Even hard hits! This really puts a damper on the game let alone how hard it is to run in this stuff.

Note to directors: See that the grass is cut before these big tournaments.

The outfield grass was tall at the ISF World Cup in Va. It was fescue, therefore needed to be much taller than bermuda.
We had the same results as you, the ball would stop before the outfielders could get to it.
We usuall don't have that problem here in the deep south where bermuda is the grass of choice in full sun.
