July 31 birdie Men's 70 802 posts | Staff, I may not have thought this through but I will go ahead with the question. I am a player for the NV FORCE and in Raleigh, we will play two seeding games in the 60 Major that count. The other two teams as best that I could tell are only playing one game that counts. We play the Mass. team and the N.C. and they do not play each other. We could go 1 and 1 and the other teams would be 1 and 0 and 0and 1. I would have thought that the Mass. and the N.C. should play each other to balance the seeding games out. I hope I just over looked that game between the other two teams. Thanks Harry |
July 31 birdie Men's 70 802 posts | Staff, I knew that you all very rarely make mistakes so after the third time of checking, I see that the Mass. team and the N.C. team do play on Friday. I just wish that was one of our games. We could play 4 games on Sat two of which are seeding games. I am sure that we will get our money worth. This is foot in the mouth Harry signing off. Thanks Harry |
Aug. 1 DaveDowell Men's 70 4323 posts | birdie - If only you were right about the word 'rarely'! ... I make at least my fair share of mistakes for sure ... The Raleigh Men's 60's is structured this way to get the 8-team 60-AAA seeded after just two Friday games because of their three-game-guarantee bracket having to start early Saturday ... The 60-Major and 55/60-AA need three games prior to the respective Double Elimination brackets for them, which is why those games go on Saturday ... Also wanted to ensure your seeding was fair for all, comprised of only games within your age/rating (same is true in the 55/60-AA) ... As it turns out, NVF and the Ohio Silverados end up with six games guaranteed instead of five ... You'll play two on Friday, three (and possibly four) on Saturday, and between one and three on Sunday depending on where you are in the bracket at that time ... Good luck! |
