| Aug. 4 DaveDowell Men's 70 4323 posts | CAL-CUP 2010 • DRAFT Game Schedules & Brackets DRAFT Game Schedules and Brackets for Session #1 (Men's 65's, 70's and 75's) of the 2010 California State Championships in Yolo County, CA, have been posted and are available from the links below and on the event's Tournament Page ... As always, these TENTATIVE schedules are subject to change and become final ONLY when released as "OFFICIAL" at the Manager's meeting the evening before play commences ... NOTE: Managers who do NOT attend the Manager's Meeting will be presumed to be fully informed on ALL matters discussed there, including Schedule, Rule and/or Format changes ... The Participating Teams List and Master Games & Fields Grid has also been posted ... Good luck to all! | Aug. 5 DaveDowell Men's 70 4323 posts | r MEN'S 40-MASTERS • There are 12 teams participating over the two-day (Saturday & Sunday) tournament. The format will be two 6-team pools playing a complete Round Robin (5 games) within each Pool. The winners of each Pool will play in the Championship Game on Sunday afternoon. There will be NO "If Needed" game due to time constraints as they relate to Sunday flight schedules of several teams. The two Runners-up in each Pool will play in the Third Place Game at the same time as the Championship Game. In the event of teams having an identical record at the conclusion of Pool play, the standard tie-breakers will determine final standings: 1. Head to head results among the tied team(s); 2. Aggregate least runs allowed over the five games played; 3. Net run differential over the five games played; and 4. Coin toss In cases of three (or more) tied teams, application of the above tie-breaker rules will occur until the number of remaining tied teams is two, at which time the head-to-head result will determine the Pool champion. Pools will be built by a 'blind draw' in the SSUSA offices at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 6th. The two Magic Sports teams will be placed in opposite pools, and the remaining ten teams will be drawn by Tiffany for each Pool on an alternating basis. The draw is an open event, and any team may send a representative to the SSUSA office to observe if they wish. |

| Aug. 6 DaveDowell Men's 70 4323 posts | r MEN'S 40-MASTERS • Pool Assignment Blind Draw The blind draw was held at 10:00 AM on 08/06/2010. The two Magic Sports teams were in a searate draw first to ensure they were in opposite Pools. The remaining 10 team names were placed in the hat and drawn one at a time, Red and Blue alternating. | Aug. 13 DaveDowell Men's 70 4323 posts | r MEN'S 55-MAJOR • Due to a player injury, No Dice was forced to withdraw from the tourney late Thursday. The 55-Major Division is now reduced to four teams, with a full (3-game) Round Robin into a Double Elimination bracket. The changes did NOT affect any other divisions of play. The 55-Major Division and Master Games Schedules have been updated accordingly here. |
