Aug. 21 d48 4 posts | Hey wasn't the UII the result of adding aweight in the Ultras handle to change the balance point? Isn't that why they stopped offering a 26oz UII? So is this new special edition Ultra just a UII without the weight? Chime in if you know. Thanks |

Aug. 22 d48 4 posts | I would assume the Ultra II still has the rod in the handle and that would make a 26oz UII closer to 27oz. So if I wanted the lightest Ultra I could buy this "Special Edition" and it would come without the rod. Does that sound right? |
Aug. 23 taits Men's 65 4548 posts | Honestly, I do not know. But given the reason for the rod in the 1st place, I think it is still there, however with the BPF being raised to 1.21, you never know. I'd suggest a call to Miken and ask them if you really need to know. As for weights not all bats are the same exact weight as marked anyway. More likely just different wall thicknesses and or more or less rod weight. |
