Aug. 10 Rocket 5 posts | Will ther be lighted scoreboards ,2 umpires and a real scorekeeper, and give it the image of a real World Tournament? |

They leave alot to be desired. Desert West is probably the best of the bunch, but the rest flat out suck! I can't even believe they are being considered! These complexes are scattered all over Phoenix, so you will definately want to know where you are playing at before booking a hotel! |
Aug. 16 JRinPHX 28 posts | I think Dbax is being generous. Rose Mofford is adequate, although by the time the tournament starts the outfields will be getting dry and rough. After that the fields listed are not very good at all. I saw one listing that had Cortez park as a possible site. That field doesn't even have fences. There are several complexes in the area that are much nicer than the ones that have been chosen. I am not sure why a world tournament would be held anywhere but at the best fields, unless it was to save money. And considering the cost of the tournament, that can't be the reason. |

I would not want to even play a beer league there. If I was going to a world tournament, and had to play at a park like this I would be totally pissed off! |
