Nov. 16 chikn55 Men's 60 29 posts | I just played in my first senior tourney. Only thing I can say is "WOW". Our team (Northern Ohio Printing from Ohio) ended up 3-3. I met some great people and played some ball with some super guys. I'm looking forward to our upcoming tournaments. I'd like to thank our sponsors Gary and Kevin and also our coach bubsey and also to mr. Hoffman for helping teach the senior game to us young 49 year olds. Haha ! Everyone was class. I'd like to give a shout out to the fellas from Kentucky, new York, Maryland and Florida. See ya soon. Chicken #55 |
Nov. 18 Bucs-Chico 13 posts | Thanks Dave Great games as usual, love those intense 7th innings. I might as well just shave my head as you guys made me lose most of my hair anyway. Chico #52 What is Kelly's real name, trying to find his baseball card ? |
Nov. 19 kel 31 posts | Baseball card....Chico, great job this past weekend. When I played for the Auburn Astro's in the NY Penn league in 1979, the baseball card we were given was done by a local car dealership and not part of major league baseball. It was a promotional type of thing for a few of the players who helped out at the dealership, most of us were released shortly after the start of the NY Penn season. Auburn was considered a Co-Op team meaning all major league clubs could send their "overflow" Single A players when their own Single A rosters were full.Free agents had a tough time sticking with Auburn unless you were a pitcher. There will be no card on-line because it was a weekend promotion and not an official NY Penn minor league card. The experience was well worth it though in Auburn. I wouldn't trade it for anything. Thanks Pat Kelly 1st baseman Fat Nancy's New York |
Nov. 19 Bucs-Chico 13 posts | Ahhh...that's why I couldn't find you. I was thinking you may have spelled your name Kelley, but couldn't find that either. I have a 1982 Auburn Astros card of Geoff Meadows, he's local and has actually played with the Bucs before getting a free ride with the Metro Stars in the 50 Major division. I collect autographs of former pro baseball players who now play softball. If you know of anyone let me know...thanks, Chico |
