I want to preface the next few comments by stating that in no way I am questioning our team rating.

As is common, teams are appealing their ratings and/or getting rerated by SSUSA. This happens mostly this time of the year right after the Phoenix Worlds till the end of the year. There seems to be a lot of Christmas joy being spread around, or is that sympathetic pleas to move to a lower rating, so a team can win, then get moved up where they should not have been moved in the first place. This is a tough job for SSUSA to monitor and do correctly and fairly. I will not mention teams by name, but you all know who you are. I can only say this with only the Western teams, because I do not know the Eastern teams that well.

I am watching daily as the ratings are being adjusted or not adjusted, and it is no surprise that they are partially wrong. There are teams that won more than 6 tournaments and 2-4 of them "ring" tournaments and not moved up. Or teams that were competitve at their level getting moved down. I also see some teams stacking their teams for next season, and are still in the same level. I guess SSUSA has to see their roster to make that determination? Last but not least, there are teams that rarely get moved up, but are more than talented to play AND win at the higher level, never moved because of $$$$ that they commit to the program. That is it for now.

My team wanted me to send an email to them, which I usually do after a tournament. After our last tournament, I was quite speechless, so I did not send one. Probably the only thing that I could have said nicely guys was, is there a rating below AA? ALSO, it was great playing and staying together as a team and having a good time too!!!!!!!!

Hey Tommy, can I sit next to you, now that you just won Donnie's tournament, or do I have to sit rows behind you? LOL! Congratulations on your strong finish and accomplishment my friend.

I left one comment out or I might say statistical comment out. As far as I can tell, there are now only 15 teams in the entire USA or elsewhere, that are rated 60 Major Plus. The SSUSA list is not accurate.
