Having been involved in senior softball for a number of years now, and observing all the different viewpoints on this message board, I have come to the realization that we are quite passionate and committed to the game of softball. However, I do not know if we are as committed, as, say golfers. My pastor told this story in a.m. worship a few weeks ago.

John and his three friends, Sam, Bill, and bob, played golf every Sunday from daylight to dark. Arriving home, John's wife would always greet him with a kiss and the same question, "Well, how did it go?" John's answer was always the same: "Great time with my friends!"
The last time out though was a little different. John arrives home a bit later than usual. Wife greets him in the usual way. John's response: "The worst day of golf I have ever had!" Wife questioned further as to what happened. John's reply: "Everything was going great for the first 3 holes, then Bob had a heart-attack. After that, all day it was hit the ball and drag Bob, hit the ball and drag bob!"
