Wonderful playing and seeing old teammates
and adversaries this weekend, July 15, 16, 17.
Tiffany and Fran were their beautiful, gracious selves,
the snack bar was OK and the umping by and large,
was good to very good.

It was very windy and dusty even from 7:30 am
at the site.
It was my first tournament there and would rather play
at a better facility if possible.

Congratulations to Flatliner from Oregon
for winning the 50 Major, Sunday morning.
They outplayed us, Barons in the championship game
and deserved to win.

The format with Major plus and major together showed
that there is still a meaningful difference between
the 2 divisions and allowing the major plus teams
to play in the bracket provided
losses for only some major teams and not others.
Tim Millette and I agree that if you want to run
the Major plus and major in the seating games
that would be all right but not once double elimination
begins in order to keep things fundamentally fair.

We used senior bats and good enough 44x375 balls
given it wasn't that hot all weekend.
The fences were 320 which was fine.
