| July 17, 2011 T3 9 posts | patch field Played at Patch field in Vacaville for Western Nationals and i have to say they were horrible, bad hops all weekend ,dusty and dry, batters box full of loose dirt not a place you want to play a major tournament very dissapointed. You deal with the wind because you can't control the weather but the fields should of been maintain better |
| July 18, 2011 LeeLee 63 posts | The fields weren't very good. I do know that there were 3 great fields in Yuba City that were available. YC is about 40 minutes northwest of Woodland. Do they choose parks like Patch because of low cost? |

| July 18, 2011 FOFO Men's 50 127 posts | I agree worst fields I've played on in some time. Also I passed a Wind Farm on the way into town which tells me high winds are the norm as they don't put those in places the wind doesn't blow all the time. Patch was just apoor choice all around |
| July 18, 2011 ArMando 8 posts | The Davis venue for the Women's and men's lower division teams was awesome. The Davis fields were dragged, watered and chalked after each game. Al Patch complex was a disgrace - SSUSA got it wrong this time, these fields were not worthy of a midweek league game, let alone a Western National Tournament; not sure I want my team to pay the high tournament fees and travel to Fresno if the fields are no better than Al Patch... |
