DRAFT Game Schedules and Brackets for the 2011 Eastern National Championships in Raleigh, NC, have been posted and are available from the links below and on the event's Tournament Page ... As always, these TENTATIVE schedules are subject to change and become final ONLY when released as "OFFICIAL" at the Manager's meeting before play commences ...

NOTE: Managers who do NOT attend will be presumed to be fully informed on ALL matters (such as schedule changes, tourney formats and rules issues) discussed at the meeting. Tournament rosters are “frozen” as of the Manager’s Meeting. NO on-site player additions are allowed without Tournament Director approval before team’s first game. Managers who do not attend Manager Meeting, and do not send a representative, will be prohibited from beginning tournament play before check-in with Field Director and are prohibited from Roster additions ...

The Master Games & Fields Grid and Participating Teams List have also been posted ... Good luck to all!

Heat Advisory

The National Weather Service long-range forecast for Raleigh during the Eastern Nationals currently calls for temperatures (and related heat index numbers) well above seasonal averages. Participants are encouraged to prepare adequately to protect themselves from these conditions. Although we will have water in each dugout, having additional hydration products and personal water available for consumption is strongly advised.

MAJOR REVISIONS • SESSION #2 - Due to the late withdrawal of two teams on Thursday (7/28/11), Metro Stars (50-Major) and New Jersey Hitman (55-Major), significant revisions were required to:

50-MAJOR & 50-AAA - The former 50-Gold Division was split, with the two remaining 50-Major Teams now being grouped with the three remaining 55-Platinum teams for a mixed Round Robin. The 50-Major will thereafter play a Best 2 of 3 Championship Series and the 55-Platinum will play a 3-team Double Elimination bracket. The four 50-AAA teams, originally mixed with the 50-Majors for Round Robin will now stand alone as a seeding group prior to commencing their own Double Elimination Bracket. There were also nominal Saturday Bracket changes for the 50-AAA.

60-PLATINUM - Changes were made in the Double Elimination bracket to accommodate the changes required above. There will NOT be an elimination bracket game on late Saturday as was originally scheduled. All four teams WILL advance to Sunday play.

MINOR REVISION • SESSION #1 - At the request of multiple teams, the 65/70-PLATINUM Division championship format was changed. Instead of a four-team Double Elimination bracket, now the two 65-Platinum teams and the two 70-Major+ teams will play Best 2 of 3 Championship series for their respective divisions. These changes did NOT affect any other divisions in Session #1.

All of the revisions have been posted online, and may be accessed from the links in the above message or from the event Tournament Page. The Master Games & Fields Grid and Participating Teams List have also been revised and posted.

Good luck to all!

SCHEDULE REVISIONS • SESSION #1 & #2 - Due to being informed Tuesday that one 50-Major team (QSE Omega) and one 50-Major+ team (Windy City) cannot make either one or both of their Friday games, changes were required to match up their formerly scheduled opponents. Those changes have been posted.

In Session #1, all four teams in the 65-Silver Division requested that they forego one of their scheduled Round Robin games each in order to finish the Tournament on Wednesday. That requerst was granted. Changes have also been posted to that effect. Day #1 scores are included for your convenience.
