I understand the Ultra II is approved for SSUSA and SPA. I heard a rumor that it is approved in other associations. Can anyone tell me which ones for sure?

Dear Robo2,
To find out which National Organizations allow the Miken II go to www.softballrating.com
Along the left side there is a link that says 'Senior Rules' click on that and you will see the organizations listed along with their rules.

SSUSA, SPA, LVSSA. ISA for sure. I think there are 2 others that are new Associations WSA and CCSA but some one else needs to confirm them.

Now that so many are Associations are allowing Seniors to use the Ultra II, the quality of the ball being used will be the critical factor.

I don't think ISA has approved the U2 for senior play. Maybe you are confusing the SSUSA/ISA Springnationals as an ISA tournament? I don't believe the ISA Senior Nationals in St. Louis will allow the U2. Please let me know if I'm wrong.

The WSA, World Softball Association, based out of Atlanta allows the U2. The WSL, World Softball League, does not allow it. According to their website, the WSA, Worldwide Slowpitch Softball Assoc does allow the U2 in their senior division.

Bruce, everytime that we have played FHC we have been allowed to use the UII. We were told that it was because ISA allows them in seniors only. I have looked, and there are no exceptions mentioned in their rule book or bat list though.

Hi Nancy, I agree with what you are saying. l looked at their website and it never mentions the U2 as an apporved bat for seniors. I have played in a few SSUSA/ISA tournaments but never in a "stand alone" ISA national.
I hope you are doing well, maybe I'll see you this year.

You know the U2 is a great bat, BUT

U2 + sock 44/375 = no fun
U2 + good 44/375 = fun
Good Bats + 47/525 = fun
U2 + 47/525 = HR's for me.

so what is best?
