Oct. 30 Duke Men's 65 908 posts | I will not be going to the Vegas Worlds with my newly forming 60 Major Plus team, since do not have enough players at this time. The team I play for in the 55 Major division is not going either, because of too many injuries from Phoenix. I am looking to hook up with a team to have some fun and play ball for Vegas only, if you are in need of a player. To not jeopardize my new team, I am not looking to play in the 60 division. The same would apply for the 55 Major division. I am looking to play 55 AAA or 50 AAA. Although I am rated 60 Major Plus, it should not be a problem for me to play 50 AAA or 55 AAA, since I am 61 and I know there was a 55 AAA team, formerly a 55 Major team, that was allowed to pick up 2 60 Major Plus players last season. I usually pitch or play 1B, and I am able to hit the ball. I would prefer to play on a team that I know someone, but would be happy to play with whoever. I would need a release form signed, if a 55 AAA asked me to play and it was approved by SSUSA. Thanks in advance, Andy Smith, 55 Major/60 Major Plus |
Oct. 30 curveball Men's 65 705 posts | Andy, you may want to double check, but I was under the assuption you could only play one level down from your rating. 61 Major+, you could play no lower than Major.(even if dropping 2 age groups) I hope I' wrong, but you'd better check................... |
Oct. 30 Duke Men's 65 908 posts | Curveball, I agree with you, and you are not wrong. But teams are getting approval to allow Major Plus players on AAA teams 1-2 age brackets lower as I stated above for an entire season. I am only trying to do this for one tournament. Maybe with the new impact player rule, I may count as 2, since I am labeled 2 levels higher?? I am not making these things up, because this already happened last year with several teams. Most likely, I will not get picked up, just like last year. Thanks for your concerns, Andy Smith, 55 Major/60 Major Plus |
