| April 22, 2006 Marianne Women's 50 6 posts | sad news............... I wasn't sure where to put this, but I think this is the right place............. For all the Senior women ball players, we lost our beloved pitcher Philly Johnson Gosma to cancer this past Saturday (April 15th).............She was the heart and soul of the LJ Slammers for all these years. She will be greatly missed by all her teammates, and all the people she encountered on and off the field. At the end of 2005, the Slammers decided to rename the team.......now called............ Philly's LJ Slammers. Our hearts are with Carl,Philly's husband, Connie, her sister, and the rest of the family. May God bless you all................ |
| April 22, 2006 CAT 144 posts | Most of us, sooner or later, start losing our loved ones and I have seen that our second family, senior softball, has been there for us. Always, when we lose a teammate, good player, and dear friend, it touches the entire softball community. My deepest condolensces to the team and family.... |
