I was surprised to hear last weekend that the SPA Winternationals have been moved from Pensacola to Tampa.
Ridge and tournament committee have always put on a great tournament in Pensacola. Hopefully it will be just as successful in Tampa.

It's not the same weekend, it's the next weekend, Oct 28 & 29. I don't know what park.
We won, narrowly defeating Worth, 23-22.
I'll see Mike Carter tonight. See you Friday.

Greetings Bruce,
Ridge ask if we would consider giving up the Winter Nationals...The Pensacola tournament committee agreed that by moving to Tampa more teams can participate and that it would be good for the SPA.
Pensacola is now looking to have a new tournament in its place...

That's what I heard Len, more teams would play in Tampa. Maybe you should call your new tournament the Pensacola Senior Softball Assoc Winternationals!

Hello, I'm new to the board but have been following the discussions for a couple of years. I play with the Delaware Legends team out of Wilmington De. Our team just played at the SPA Glen Burnie Md. tourney and qualified for Nationals.

I have lived up here for 21 years but played and lived in Pensacola in the 70's to mid 80's. I had talked our De. team into going there in October and am sad to hear it changed venues. I haven't been back to Pensacola for 20 years and was looking forward to it.

I would appreciate it if anyone could give me some updates on any future Pensacola tournaments. My name is Jose Castro and my e-mail address is jr12c@aol.com. Thanks.
