Tahoe Open
There was a highly competitive
40 and over tournament in Lake Tahoe this weekend
that had a significant number of seniors in it like Mike Cleary and Dave Brown and Keith from the Oregon Masters.
Courtesy Auto from Southern California went 5 and 1 winning it and congratulations to Mike Cleary's guys from Volvo, the Oregon Masters and Brownie's East Bay oldies for some high spirited, great games.

There isn't a better place in the US I'd rather play than
Zephyr Cove in Tahoe.
It's just drop dead beautiful.
I saw Mike Cleary make one of the finest plays from the mound ever on a come back bullet he blocked and made an acrobatic, off balance throw that would have gotten anyone but Turbo, the fastest runner on the Courtesy team.
Way to go, Mike.

Hey y'all,

I left out some important stuff about the tournament
in Tahoe.
Courtesy Auto is also Kelly Sports Courtesy Auto
sponsored Mike Kelly.
Turbo, Mango, Ferret, Springer, Bully
along with a spirited array of highly talented
characters and led by the brilliance and courage of pitcher
Mickey Hughes as he pitched with a broken finger
all 3 games of single elimination on Sunday
are the best team I've played on to date.
It's no wonder they are the 2004-2005
back to back ASA National Champion in 45 and over.
