Oct. 19 HJ Men's 70 481 posts | I recently re-read the "sliding" thread and was about to draw some conclusions when I read in another thread about a 2B whose leg was broken by a slider. This injury is a replay of what I sickeningly saw last year. The purpose of this thread is to ask if you are aware of any serious injuries to fielders as a result of a slide. It is not to place blame on the slider or fielder but to try to determine if this is an issue or just a freak event. Thanks for your help. |

Probably less fielders get taken out by slides then infielders get hit by balls off the special bats. Not trying to get back on my soapbox, just pointing out what I have noticed over the years. |
