| Oct. 23 santo Men's 55 41 posts | New Glove! Well, after using my 1st basemans glove for over 25 yrs (off and on whenever playing 1st) I took a hot grounder down the line and was going to the base for the out when I noticed the ball on the ground. Fortunately I had time to pick it up and make the out. I couldn't figure out how I missed the ball until I looked at my glove and noticed the ball went through the webbing. I restrung the glove, but decided it was time for a new one. Since my Mizuno lasted 25yrs, I wanted the same glove. I ordered a gfx10 online that looked similar and found it for $190 at JK sports ($220 everywhere else). When it arrived, I was like a little kid who just got his first baseball glove. I couldn't take it off. The technology is so much better today than 25yrs ago. It seems so hard to leave OLD FAITHFUL, but my new glove is totally worth it. I was so attached to my old glove that I thought I could never leave my old one. Oh well, out with the old, in with the new?? |
