Fan Helps Save a Life at Top Gun’s SSUSA Rock ‘N Reno Tune Up

May 1, 2017

CATHEDRAL CITY, CA --- A HUGE thank you to nurse Laura Plummer (pictured above), a spectator during Top Gun’s SSUSA Rock ‘N Reno Tune-Up here at Big League Dreams, who rushed into action to help save the life of Jaime Cervantes, a player on So Cal Riptide (55 AAA).

Cervantes suffered a heart attack while running to first base during a game on May 20. “Plummer immediately started CPR for a duration of 10-15 minutes, along with a player from the opposing team, and our defibrillator assisting her,” said tournament director Don Reddig. “The Cathedral City Fire Department/Paramedics took over and helped save his life. As they drove away, both teams huddled in prayer (photo above).”
