2018 CT Masters Games Recap

CONNECTICUT - Twenty teams competed in the Nutmeg State for the 2018 CT Masters Games, June 16-19.
In the five-team Men’s 50 Platinum Division, Covello Sanitation came out of the elimination side of the bracket to double-dip Roebell Painters/Paradise Painting, 18-17, in the championship game, and 20-19 in the “if” game. Hard Hat Café/Latella’s/Vio’s Sports finished in third place.
Je-Mar/Perfect Pitch won the three-team Men’s 50 AAA Division with a 24-21 win over Chicago Sams/RDD in the championship game. BrenCo finished in third place.
Deep Purple defeated Bay State Bombers in a best two-out-of-three game series for the Men’s 60 Major Division. The teams exchanged wins in the first two games, as Deep Purple was victorious, 28-19, in game one; while Bay State Bombers evened the series with 12-11 win in game two. Deep Purple cruised to a 22-8 win in the rubber match.
Cape Cod Mariners defeated Mike’s Blue Collar, 5-3, in the championship game of the Men’s 60 AAA Division. Vernon Senior Softball finished third in the four-team division.
Syracuse Cyclones defeated Diamond Dawgs, 22-11, in the rubber match in the Men’s 60 AA Division, which was played in a best-two-out-of-three game series. Diamond Dawgs took the opener, 15-12; while the Cyclones evened the series with a 16-13 game two win.
Four teams competed in the Men’s 65/70 Division, with Talaga Construction getting the better of Syracuse Cyclones in a best two-out-of-three game series; while Vios Sports downed Socrates in another best of three series.
