National Team Powers Past American Team, 27-19, in 2019 TOC All-Star Game

Feb. 1, 2019

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – The annual Tournament of Champions All-Star Game was held here Feb 6 at Auburndale Sports Complex.

Each TOC competing team selects one player to compete in the nine-inning game.

The winning team goes on to play an exhibition game against the Louisville Slugger Warriors during the TOC festivities.

This year the National team, managed by Terry Hennessy (SSUSA chief executive officer) and Thom Mikich (ProHealth Care 80 AAA), took on the American team, managed by Doug Betras (Doug and Don’s Auto Care 55 Major) and Staci Mosher (CCS Fireballerz 40 AAA).

Powered by four five-run innings, the National team took a commanding 27-8 lead heading into the final inning. The American team rallied with 11 runs in the bottom of the open, but it wouldn’t be enough, as the National team triumphed 27-19.
