The Southwest Chili Pepper Sports Association (SWCPSSA), which has been in operation for 17 years and sponsors the annual SSUSA qualifier, Chili Pepper Classic, recently made a contribution to the El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank.

“We'd like to thank the Southwest Chili Pepper Sports Association for their generous gift,” said El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank on their facebook page. “Their contribution will help hungry neighbors impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. We truly appreciate their generosity at this difficult, uncertain time.”

“SWCPSSA was glad to be able to donate and help out with 3,500 meals to the needy in El Paso,” said Joe Amparan, President. “A special thanks to the board members that made this possible, Don Brooks (Chili Pepper Classic Tournament Director and SSUSA National Director), David Fuentes (Vice President), Manny Flores (Treasure), Jim Candelaria (Secretary), and Armando Sánchez (Board Advisor). A special thanks to all Senior Softball teams and ballplayers that join us every year to participate in the SW Chili Pepper Tournament.”
