Vegas Baby! The Worlds Beckon!

As the Worlds in Las Vegas fast approaches, qualifying tournaments are heating up – and setting records.  The Western Nationals in California and the Eastern Nationals in Virginia combined to draw a record 247 teams – setting the stage for the largest number of USA National Games in recent memory.

Winners in the East will face the winners in the West in the USA Games in Las Vegas, which is the second stage of the Triple Grand Slam of Softball.

While rain wasn’t a factor in the drought-plagued Western Nationals, it did play havoc in both the Eastern Nationals and the Midwest Championships.  Fortunately, enough games were played to determine division winners.
