New Medical Emergency Cards: What You Need To Know

     Upon checking in at the 2023 World Championships, each team was given 15 Medical Emergency Information cards. The cards ask for information important to medical professionals in case a player becomes unconscious or is unable to answer questions.

     The goal is to have players fill them out and turn them into their manager, who will keep them on hand at tournaments in case they are needed.

     If managers need more Medical Cards, please contact nic@seniorsoftball.com.

     They are not mandatory, but Senior Softball USA highly encourages you to take advantage of these cards.

     “SSUSA is committed to players’ safety,” said Terry Hennessy, SSUSA’s chief executive officer. “We have provided AEDs, First Aid Kits specifically designed to treat common softball injuries—and most important, training for directors for the past two decades.”

     The introduction of medical emergency cards is an extension of this commitment.

     SSUSA directors and staff were also recertified in CPR before the first session of the 2023 World Championships.
