Discussion: entered dugout after touching first base

The ruling is that if a batter- runner or baserunner during live play enters the dug out by stepping in or on the line of the dug out, they are out. The only time this is not called on a regular basis is when a runner going to third and runs through and cant stop and enters the dugout.

Since the controlling body,SSUSA,can not judge properly the ranking system to the satisfaction of teams and the issue is of importance. Let the opposing managers judge the competition. A flyer with a name of the team being ranked, the name of the team ranking and a simple higher, same or lower area to be marked after every game. The flyer to be turned into the umpire who in turn turns it in to the tourn. director. I think that with in the following year a truer ranking will be realized. Do not underestimate the opposing managers honesty and observations its much better than the SSUSA's.Yes there will be a few misses in the ranking due to personal issues,BUT not as many as there are NOW.The tourn. will be stronger and just as competitve.Maybe, just maybe we can put this issue to sleep and find another one.

Here is another one for the LV tourn. AKA SSUSA. We were a AA 55 team wishing to play in the AAA 55 division last year in order to hit home runs. We new we were cometitve but did not have the guns to take it all. We talked to Sacramento prior to entering and go the ok. We arrived in LV and attended the meeting and at that time were told we were now playing in the AA div. and either had to give up 5 runs or allow 11 fielders. The jest of the whole thing is now we were playing teams we played competetively through out the year at other tourn in the 55AA bracket and now had to give them 5 runs to start because we were now considered a AAA 55 team. The toun dircter and staff when asked to change us back said "to bad". We came in as a AAA team.
We stayed and played in the winds and got laughed at by the other teams we had played before. We did not even attemp to play this year and am glad to here some of the same crap is going on this year. Now maybe if enough teams pull out or let the director in Sac. and other members of his so called staff know how we feel something might get the attention of future entrants. We love the game but hate the politics that have now entered SENIOR SOFTBALL.
