Discussion: York Senior Tournament in October

It is my understanding that there won't be a York tournament this year. The previous tourney director is in Fla.

So unless someone else takes over, I guess we will have to wait for next year. Too bad, it was a good tune-up for Phoenix and/or Ft. Myers.

For those players 65+ in the NJ, Pa, Md.,De area, Joe always puts together competitive teams. Anyone looking would be smart to to try and hook-on.

Joe, sorry I couldn't make it to Pompano this year. I heard we came close to taking the tournament. Jose

Thanks Mike, that's the division I played in with the Curry/Delaware Legends team. It was a very competitive bracket. We lost three games by a total of five runs.

Excellent tournament, wish we could have gone a little further, but all the teams we played and saw played really well. Not much separated the top 7-8 teams.

Why hasn\'t there been any postings of the results of the Ft. Myers Winter Nationals? The scores are already up for the Las Vegas tournament. I would just like to see who won the different age brackets.

Discussion: 1st yr Players... r they RATED or is TEAM RATED?

This topic remains confusing. My team has played 55 AA for several years and are moving up to 60+.We are not adding anyone who has played at a higher level. Do we remain AA or as new team to 60, do we start at the AAA level?

I have played with Bob for 4 years and he is an excellent shortstop and hitter, but he is an even better teammate. Some team would be lucky to latch on to him. We will miss him here in Delaware.

They have their own site, ISSA or International Senior Softball Association. All the scores are posted along with some photos of the games.

Discussion: SPA Winternationals moved to Tampa

Hello, I'm new to the board but have been following the discussions for a couple of years. I play with the Delaware Legends team out of Wilmington De. Our team just played at the SPA Glen Burnie Md. tourney and qualified for Nationals.

I have lived up here for 21 years but played and lived in Pensacola in the 70's to mid 80's. I had talked our De. team into going there in October and am sad to hear it changed venues. I haven't been back to Pensacola for 20 years and was looking forward to it.

I would appreciate it if anyone could give me some updates on any future Pensacola tournaments. My name is Jose Castro and my e-mail address is jr12c@aol.com. Thanks.
