war eagle57 a sr. league team will be practicing this Sunday at 2:30 at the fields behind Team Toyota. I know you would be welcome to come out. Captain's name is Sid
Don't know why we do not have tournaments because we have a nice complex on Oak Villa Parkway. I don't think we have had a tournament since the National Senior Olympics a few years back .

Wish some of the softball associations would call Jerry Stovall who is president of Baton Rouge Sports Foundation. 225-382-3588 and get one going. Have 3 casinos, good restaurants, good weather ,and New Orleans an hour away.

To Mike K. I was not trying to single out your team and it's situation. It's the teams that plan on not playing in the seeding rounds from the get go that's not right.

I don't think that there should be 4 day tournaments in the 50 & 55 brackets since everyone is still working.
But if you enter a 4 day tourn.it is only fair for everbody to follow the same rules . If you start bending the rules here and there you are opening a can of worms

I was really sorry that we (Team Honda) could not get a full team to go to the Plano tournament. It is usually one of the best.
We plan to go to Oct.tournament in Pensacola. Who else is planning on going?

Discussion: anyone vised an edge?

JW, It is putting the bat in a vise an squeezing it down anywhere from 2 to 1.5 inches or less.Doing this to a composite bat is supposed to make it hotter and the sweet spot bigger. Although I did my Edge to 1.5 inches and did not notice any change in the way it hit.Maybe it doesn't work on every bat.
