Discussion: FORT MYERS WINTER NATIONAL

Baseball card....Chico, great job this past weekend. When I played for the Auburn Astro's in the NY Penn league in 1979, the baseball card we were given was done by a local car dealership and not part of major league baseball. It was a promotional type of thing for a few of the players who helped out at the dealership, most of us were released shortly after the start of the NY Penn season. Auburn was considered a Co-Op team meaning all major league clubs could send their "overflow" Single A players when their own Single A rosters were full.Free agents had a tough time sticking with Auburn unless you were a pitcher. There will be no card on-line because it was a weekend promotion and not an official NY Penn minor league card. The experience was well worth it though in Auburn. I wouldn't trade it for anything. Thanks Pat Kelly 1st baseman Fat Nancy's New York

Trumpball: I used my Combat this weekend in North Branford with very good results. If the end cap does come off can it be glued and will it hold if there are small cracks around the cap? What kind of glue to you suggest?

Discussion: Easten Bats - looking to Purchase

I am playing several over 50 tournaments but am still active in USSSA under 50. Would anyone on this board have an Easton Synergy CNT Plus ( Model #SCN2) they would be willing to sell?

Discussion: Winter Worlds - Ft. Meyers 2008

I know that it is several months away, but I noticed that the Florida Half-Century league has a tournament the same weekend ( 11/15 and 11/16 at a different site) as the 2008 Winter Worlds in Ft. Meyers. I'm on a team from up North that had a great time in Ft. Meyers last year and was wondering if the HC tournament will detract from the number of teams in Florida that would normally want to participate in the WW in FT. Meyers ( two tournaments the same wekend)?????

Discussion: Cape May NJ NorthEast Championship

Has anyone on this board played the Cape May facility in New Jersey. We have a team from Syracuse that is thinking about playing in the NE cahmpionships in September 08 and is looking for any information that may be helpful. How are the fields? Are the fields located togther in one complex? How many filelds are there? What are the field dimensions?
Has Senior Softball ever used this venue before? Do you think they wiill draw many teams given the location? Atlantic City should help the draw? Any information would be helpful.

Discussion: The new combat

macmaxter: Where did you purchase the new combat and is it the original da Bomb bat which is blue and siver? I can get this bat at Sportsdiamond for a much lower price than Anaconda but I'm not sure it is going to have the 1.20 stamped on it where as the Anaconda senioe bat does have the 1.20. I haven't bought it yet. thanks

Discussion: Easton Stealth CNT Plus

Pro....just to clarify one comment you made about the Combat. The New Blue Original Da Bomb that is sold now through SportsDiamond ( not through Anaconda) does not have the 1.20 BPF stamped on the bat. So are you saying that it still can be used for SSUSA sponsored events even without that stamp of approval?

Discussion: Easton Stealth CNT Plus

I haven't seen much dialog regarding the Easton Stealth CNT Plus bat on the message board. Playing mostly USSSA tournaments last year, it was certainly the bat of choice for most teams. Being this will be my first year in the 50's, I would assume this bat can be used for SSUSA sponsored events? Can someone confirm or deny this statement. Also, can the original Combat Da Bomb ( blue model "not" sold by Anaconda) be used at SSUSA events?

Discussion: SPORTSDIAMOND DABOMB

I believe that the Sports Diamond Combat Da Bomb "Original" bat does not have the 1.20 BPF stamped on the bat. The special Anaconda senior bat is stamped 1.20 and can be used. Does this make the Sports Diamond bat illegal for SSUSA tournament play just because it doesn't have the 1.20 standard?
