Well as it's not January or June, maybe it's a typo?

Now if they would just tell us where we are playing for sure. It says after March 9th but not how long after March 9th..........
Looks like 55s are both. Would be nice to know for sure.

Well Said Tim. Also just like golf, Technology has made it easier to hit the ball without having to work on your game. Little skill is required these days to mash a softball. It's a little different than when you were trying to hit with your Howards Western Steer that's for sure. If hyou didn't work at it you weren't very good.

Played in 55 Major. Enjoyed the 1-1 count. It does keep the game moving and gets everyone more AB's and play more innings. Wish SSUSA would adopt the rule. I also like the 1 up rule but feel in Major it should be an out not a single when your out of HR's. If you want to hit more HR's play Major +. The 5 runs and 1 up did enable some of the Major teams to hang with the Major + teams. Only downside was the long wait between games on Sunday. 8:00 first game and 2:00 second.
I would most certainly play in this tournament again.

Be nice if they let you know where you are playing BEFORE all the rooms sod out. I guess that make too much sense.

I think that home runs ovet the limit in Major Division should be outs. If you want to grow the + divisions make rules that will entice and reward people and teams for moving up.

I think it's a good rule. It's the only way to attempt to catch bat cheats. If your bats good you get it back, if it's not well you get a little suspension and hopefully sued. Something needs to be done.
NSA is adopting the new bat standard in 2015.

I have seen the problem playing and officiating games in Vegas. Good clue is five or six guys sharing the same bat.
I had a young guy playing next to me helping position me in the outfield because he knew which guys were swinging hot bats. And when I say hot I mean these things are hotter than our senior models. It's crazy. The new bat standard should help but only time will tell. The new 2013 bats meet the new standard but I believe only USSA is enforcing it this year. It seems the cheaters are going to make the bat companies a ton of money.
There is a rule in NSA that states any batted ball that strikes and injures ANY defensive play causing an injury that forces him to leave the game, the bat will be confiscated. It is given a compression test and if it fails is sent to the manufacturer who makes the final determination as to whether the bat has been altered or not. So I guess staying out of the middle may not save the cheaters in some cases.

Played in the 50 Major and went out Sunday and watched the finals and I don't think the top four finishers would stand much of a chance of competing in Major Plus much less the top 10.

1. Get one of the many software programs available and laptops with aircards at every site to speed up the seeding process. Watching the guys try to do it by hand was painful. This would also make it easier to keep the brackets at each site up to date.
2. Never use Cheyenne Park
3. Put a little water on the Infields once in awhile.

Great Tournament

Bought the new 2 piece Miken and used it in Vegas this weekend. The bat feels great and performed well. Have to wait and see how long it lasts.

Discussion: This Will Chase Players From The Game

The specifiics on my team are as follows:
We have three guys who played 50 Major last year on a team that finished the season 5-44. The team petitioned to be reclassified AAA, but for some reason, unknown to anyone (5-44!!!!) was denied. As a result the team dumped many of the guys and leaving them with no place to play.
We also have one guy who playes 50 Major with a team that didn't win anything all year, the lone highlight being a 3rd in Reno.
The rest of the players are either 55 or 60 AAA.
How this could possibly add up to 55 Major+ is beyond me. If we are stuck with this ranking it means the team won't play, and a lot of guys who want to play won't be able too. I could see ranking us AAA and if we went out there and dominated moving us up, but to start us off in a division above our skill level is ridiculous. Past history tells us that once you get moved up, it's nearly impossible to get moved down(5-44!!!).

Discussion: This Will Chase Players From The Game

Not sure if this is fact or fiction, but I was told that as I played 50 Major last year, that if I move up to 55 I will be considered a Major+ player. I sure hope I heard wrong because this would be one of the most idiotic rule SSUSA has come up with and will most certainly eliminate a lot guys opportunity to play the game they love. It will for sure mean the 55 team I play on won't be playing SSUSA this year.
It's total lunacy to think that moving up a division will improve my game that much. Each player should be evaluated on his own ability not the classification of the team he played on last season.
Say it ain't so SSUSA, Say it ain't so............

One of the guys I am playing with this weekend got a new Centurion and 10 swings into BP the end cap went flying off. Seems like Combat STILL hasn't solved this problem although by know you would certainly think they should have.

Discussion: Softball Gloves-Any Good Ones?

I can add one more good reason to buy the American Made Nokona. I've had mine for close to 15 years give or take. It was top of the line and cost around $180.00 when I bought it.
The outside was still in great shape but the inside had rotted in places and the thumb and straps for the little finger had broken off.
I called Nokona, they issued me an RMA to send it back for repair. They restrung the entire glove and replaced the entire inside of the glove. For this they charged me $80.00. That's standing behind your product. Glove is like brand new. Mine is the pre-oiled model so it is a little heavy but I've never had to put a drop of oil on it. They also have light weight models.
