| March 27, 2009 three for five | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Hobbies I'm with Gary Heifner. I think golf is terrible, especially for inside-outers on the diamond. Fortunately, the game BORES me out of my gourd, so I don't feel deprived. Like to ski, travel to see my Cal Bears play football (everywhere), and hit the gym several times a week to work off the weight with as much aerobics as I can stand! |
| Feb. 26, 2009 three for five | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: DBO/PPR rule - still protecting nobody "If a batsman hits the pitcher, I think the pitcher should be able to hit the batter with a bat where and as hard as a batter hit the pitcher with the ball. :) Sorry guys - didn't mean to cause anyone to have the vapors over my suggestion... The ":)" symbol means I was joking... |

| Jan. 23, 2009 three for five | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Yogi Berra once said....... Yogi, after a game, went to order a pizza. The counter girl asked him if he wanted it cut into six pieces or eight. 'Cut it into eight', he said, "I'm really hungry!" |

| Nov. 24, 2008 three for five | Topic: Players looking to join a team Discussion: Newly 60, plays like 50; looking for a team for '09 Inland Empire, So Cal. Fast for my age and always hustle; spray hitter, with much to opposite field (right). Singles and legged out doubles and triples. Sorry, no power, but good placement. Lifetime around .650 - .750 and hitting .590 over 100 abs in my current men's league with a lot 20 and 30 somethings. Catcher, 1st base, some right field. Took up pitching two seasons ago - tolerable but nothing to write home about yet, but will get better. |
