Discussion: Reebok Barrage Legend is GREAT BAT

Cyborg45 it's true it's difficult to build a bat with performance and Longevity(why would you) when you can sell 4 bats in two years instead of 1 bat! We had a Grey combat that had 3000 swings on it... we hit it for 4 years.. winter leagues in SF, tourneys, BP, and that bat hit with anything I ever hit.. wish it was mine and I would still be swinging it(not letting everyone use it as My buddy Mike did.. Longevity and performance can be done, however the bat industry is not in it to make us that happy.. they are in it to make money...who do you think keeps composites in the game... They love to make bats that are hot as hell, and have to have type of bat, so that we don't mind buying a couple or so a year... more money for them.. The Yellow combats used to last over a year also.. they are discontinued also.. make more money selling us the 200 swing type bats they all sell now.

rdman66.. it's not guys that can hit the ball 400 feet that are shaving, as you said the bat would last minimal swings.... it's the guys with minimal pop that would shave these bats or the guy with so much ego he would buy as many bats as it takes to go through a season of shaved bats.... My thoughts were at least the rest of us swing something that is hot enough not to feel like you would in a U trip tourney swinging legal bats against the cheats with altered bats...IMO

I say all the senior bat haters just bring out the Aluminum bats and show us how manly they are... I look forward to them bringing a knife to a gun fight! ;-)

don't worry Phantom, most senior players feel this way.... senior bats keep it more honest than any other sanction in Softball... Everyone has a fair shot, except the pitcher! ;-)

BillK, of all the rule changes I have seen on this board and complaints, yours is the best case for changing it back!!!! IMO.. 78 79 80s won't make one bit of difference on skill level but will help fill tourney's with more teams for the 80s guys... Come on SSUSA get it right for these guys!

Buc 15 hits it out of the park...They aren't going back to Metal bats anytime soon so this whole subject is a Moot point! IMO and I think most seniors love hitting the good balls and hot bats!

not what I was told last year! I called the company because I was curious about all the hype of the Ambush.. was told by someone at the factory that the barrels were the same... I don't know what to believe other than hitting the ambush cent and the Dirty personally they felt alike.. no big deal.. I prefer the Melee over all three of them... Just don't believe the hype on the Dirty or the Ambush!

BW, I called and talked to combat company about the Ambush and Dirty and the Cent, and he told me all three barrels are Identical! nothing different other that the paint and handle! So the bottom line is you are buying a pretty color over the other! Fact!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try Ice treatment... I watched a 60 minutes years back about these kids in Asia, that were deformed from Arthritis and they started an cold treatment... the results were miraculous! They were 100 percent normal in months of starting this treatment... should look it up online.. see if this could help you

Discussion: Playing Time

It's difficult to keep everyone Happy... Everyone wants to be in the lineup, however there are only 11 spots! So, I would reccommend getting guys in the seeding games that might not be starters as much as you can without jeopardizing your team... Bottom line is the bench players need to know their roles and all other players have to realize how important that bench is to preserving starters legs down the stretch. My team self sponsors too,and has been successful with a bunch of unselfish players for the most part.. We get some squawking once in a while, however we just keep moving forward with what we have been doing! We are honest with everyone and what we expect..
