| April 19, 2011 pitcher55 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Back surgey yes, if it ruptured, the pain is worse, and it must be removed right away.if it's herniated,as my 2 were,the pain is a little less intense(but still bad),and usually down into the calf.mine were herniated 14 and 17 milimeters.i mowed the lawn 7 days after the second surgery, and played golf 11 days after.i only swung the club 25%.just love golf.i've had epedurals 4 times,worked twice.i would recomend in this order- steroids then epedural,then surgery.however,if pain is in the foot and nonstop and intense, then surgery(lamenectomy)is probably your only option.i'm still playing with 2 back surgeries,two on left hand,each shoulder,total hip replacement, and other hip shot.love it too much to stop. get by with norco pain med.,soma muscle relaxers, and hip injections. you will play again. |
| April 19, 2011 pitcher55 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Back surgey birdie, i had two lower back surgeries, in 01& 09.and afew other procedures, same area, along the way.stay away from fusions,if at all possible.haven't read of your condition.predisone(mild steroid),can shrink a disc and eliminate leg pain,if disc is not herniated too far.good luck,dennis. |

| April 5, 2011 pitcher55 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Pitcher's Screen vs Rocket Bats/Balls ther is no way to stop a ball from 50', traveling at 100mpr+.in st. george,i had two line drives go by me that i didn't have time to flinch! either one could have killed me.i only pitched tho innings.yeah,i swing a senior bat- cause everyone else does,but i'm all for banning them.i've pitched since '72.i'm good at it and quick on defense. but you can't stop a BB. we shouldn't have to put on hockey gear. i know,some will tell me to go play checkers,but most of them are playing deeper.SSUSA,are you listening? |

| March 29, 2011 pitcher55 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Stupid Rules Who Thought of This marv19,the man to contact is john conolly.i had worked with him for 10 years.email me for details on the deal we had.he was always the guy i worked with at park and rec. there is a 3 field complex(nice)and 2 more at another location.it is a beautiful place to have a tourney.it's surrounded by huge pine trees.the 250 site campground is about a block away,rv site half mile away,tons of condos,and lots of motels.they want tourneys to bring $ in town.i will give you the details of the agreement i had,thru email. sierradog1@live.com. |
| March 29, 2011 pitcher55 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Stupid Rules Who Thought of This mad dog,there are 3 at the complex.2 at 300' and 1 at 275'.2 more at another field,not sure of diminsions there.i ran tourneys there for ten years.the park and rec works with the tourisim council and is more than willing to assist anyone with tourneys.they will run the snackbar and provide all field maintenance each day.there is no cost for fields or insurance.the complex sits at 8000' elevation and is a beautiful place to play.email me and i can hook you up.dennis wiley sierradog1@live.com. #7 over the edge55AAA. |
