Discussion: Batters Box Dimensions/Layout

The batter's box when the mat wasn't there was four feet from the point where the plate starts to taper back and three feet back from same point making a 7' batter's box. So, yes you did have more room in front than back. Not real sure with the mat in place? Can't imagine it would be different?

Discussion: WESTERN NATIONALS IN AURORA, COLORADO

After having won the Triple Grand Slam last year I would say that it feels like wining 12 events after winning the Eastern, Us Nationals and Worlds. Yes you have to play in two different regions to get the award but it is still difficult. The Worlds is the best tournament of the year with the most teams and if you think playing a one game winner take all is easy you are sorely mistaken. So, the Triple Grand Slam is a darn good accomplishment that I will remember for ever in spite of what Gary19 has to say.

Discussion: Not sure what this is saying, but.......

Maybe where you come from that may be true. We tried it last year and the league broke up because of all the rain we had and all the nights that got cancelled. Massachusetts is out there as far as weather goes. WE had teams that didn't play for three weeks and as well I understand the concept it still is a problem here. Would be great if you were playing in another league on a different night maybe get those games in?

And if you get rained out on that night you don't play for two weeks? How is that better than playing single games twice a week?

Discussion: LVSSA and SSUSA Worlds in Las Vegas

Any way of finding out where the 55 MAJOR Men are playing in Las Vegas for the Worlds on September 28-30. Makes it aweful hard to get a hotel within a reasonable distance to the complex without knowing? Any idea when it might be posted. Arizona for the previous 3 or 4 years it was always posted albeit tentative, but it was posted months ahead of time. The only two men's age brackets for that weekend are the 55s and 60s so maybe it won't be too hard to do so?

So if my team plays 2012 in the 55 Maj division and next year we want to move to the 60s we have to play 60 Major+? I thought you would move to the same skill set in the next age group until proven otherwise? If we want to maove down to the 50s we could play AAA then? This is not right!

Mark as was talking to you. Good luck with GSF and hope it is what you are looking for in the game? We actuaslly had 2 guys go down which didn't help our cause. One was our original SS and the other was our LCF who was probably our fastest guy. We did ok for not having played since the Worlds. We did have some fun games, take care and look forward to seeing you in the future.

Discussion: congrats to the drillers for winning the 55AAA

Sorry Mark just got home today from Florida. We had three great games and always fun playing you guys. James we did get moved up but this TOC you play at the level you won the berth for. That is why we played AAA. The Drillers absolutely spanked us in the finals. It was 17-12 going into the open inning and we couldn't get them out and we had three guys that had to catch a plane. They were a hitting machine and played extremely well. Congrats to all the players and coaches for The Drillers they really deserved the rings. I am the coach of the Bombers Paul.

Discussion: What should a healthy senior program look like?

So all the Major and Major+ teams get put together with three, four or five players kept from the championship team. There isn't even 1 Major Plus team that touches Massachusetts so all the Major teams should drop out and go back to AAA. The Northeast teams would not be able to compete in this new combined division without the availability of Major+ players? Or am I missing something in this concept. It seems fine in the rest of the country where there are Major+ teams and players but for us here in the Northeast it seems like a bad concept?
