Best most competitive tournament of the year
Hey guys,
The folks in Las Vegas put on a terrific tournament
this year, for me, the best one of all.
The balls were Decker I believe and were excellent.
The bats were Ultra 2's and an occasional Combat
and the balls were flying.
If tournament directors want to keep attracting
the best and most teams
this was the way to do it.
The officiating, by and large was excellent.
Tim Reed, for example, did an outstanding job
in all the games I witnessed.

There were 8, yes you count 'em, 8 terrific
major plus 50 teams that started double elimination
on Saturday.
Thunder, Chicago Reds, Doc's Greyhounds,
Mavericks, Specialty Tank, Pilchers, Old A's
and Kelly's.
I saw all the teams play either as a participant or a spectator and
congratulations to one and all for a splendid job
competing in the hot Las Vegas sun.

Every game, once double elimination started
was hard fought and any one of the teams
could have won.
For us at Kellys, thanks to everyone,
for helping us end our 2006 season
on the good foot.

Einstein, why do they call you that? Just kidding.

There was some great copetition there. Our (Specialty Tank) only regret is that in our 6 games we only played three teams, Chicago Classics- two games, Doc's Greyhounds- one game and Mavericks- three games.
I had a great time and will be looking forward to playing there this comming weekend in the 55 Major Plus.

One bit of advice, make sure you secure your money while playing ball at Lorenzi! I and a teammate found that our money had grown legs while we were playing, mine on Friday and my teammate's on Sunday.
I'll try to never hang my bat bag outside the dugout again.

Oh yeah, GREAT WEATHER!

Hey Einstein,

Since Your 50+ team only attended 4 Nationals out of a possible 10 that were held, your take on Las vegas being the best, most competitive tourney of the year can only mean as compared to the NSA West National, the 4 team USSSA World, and the SSWS in palm springs.

Since you won the first 2, and went 0 & 2 at Palm springs, I would have to believe that there must have been some competition there as well.

Now, don't go getting all hot under the collar because I teased you. You have to expect that kind of thing when you come across as such an expert on absolutely all phases of Senior softball.

Yours Truly

If I knew who you were
I'd have a couple of things of interest to say to you
but because you hide yourself
I won't waste my time.

Einstein, GOTCHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm ROTFLMAO!

In answer to your "I refuse to answer", I defer to Mango's post in the thread about changing the message board.

See Ya. That is, if you ever decide to leave the West Coast.

Sincerely

Be careful, Dirt...

By answering his refusal to answer you, you might prompt him not to answer you once again.

My congratulations to Kelly's Sports for their big win in 50 Major Plus.

My special congratulations to Einstein for his fantastic play. He put on a real show when hitting, fielding and, most of all, by being a team player. Even though he was launching tape measure homeruns almost every time he got a chance to swing, he took his walks whenever possible, when many other homerun hitters would still swing away.

When pitching, he took a line drive missile off the chest from an Ultra 2 but this didn't slow him down one bit. Also when pitching, he made the most fantastic catch I've ever seen, diving completely outstretched for a pop-up foul ball about one foot from the fence, about halfway between home and first base. He caught the ball for a big out in a big game that was very close. I was sitting in the stands right in front of the screen where he caught the ball. The fans could hardly believe their eyes when he made this catch, and they broke into applause for his incredible hustle, fearlessness, and skill. I hope Einstein got MVP because no one deserved it more than him.
