Jan. 27 garyheifner 649 posts | Just got a call from a relative. He is joining a very restrictive league. What are a couple of the best single wall aluminum bats out there??? |
Jan. 28 BruceinGa Men's 70 3233 posts | The Ritch's Superior Green Monster. There are a couple on eBay. |
Jan. 28 swing for the fences Men's 50 1224 posts | my all time favorite was the black and blue connection... they don't make them anymore ;-( I believe now Demarini Steel is a great single wall bat! |
Jan. 28 Perl 212 posts | The Worth ESTs were very good. I liked the blue model and a lot of guys like the black version. There are many on ebay. |
Jan. 28 rh25 Men's 70 29 posts | One of the leagues I play in is single wall. The demarini steel is the bat of choice. I still have two of the bats mentioned the green ritches & connexion. To my disappointment they did not hit as well as the demarini steel. |
Jan. 28 BruceinGa Men's 70 3233 posts | rh25, I've often wondered how the old bat would fare against the 44cor balls. About 10 years ago we hit one of the titanium bats and our composites were much better. |
Jan. 28 rh25 Men's 70 29 posts | Bruce, I'm guessing its because those bats were engineered for harder balls. I still use the connexion when its too cold to use the steel. The demarini steels are not very durable. |
Jan. 30 Airbosn Men's 70 329 posts | Bruce...At the NSA World Series a few guys from Columbus LX were using some metal bats. It seem that the metal bats were driving the 52/300 ball further than the plastic bats. |
Jan. 30 Player 86 posts | Gary, I still have - and use on cold days - the gold Worth ESTs. One is a 26 oz 10 inch barrel and the other is a 30 oz 13 inch barrel. They still hit well with the new balls. Next time you visit Woodlawn, I'll let you try them. |
