| Oct. 20 LP 317 posts | Player rating SSUSA -- THE reason I said there might be a catch is I know a 60 major player went and played for a 50 major team in vegas, and when the coach of the 60's team went add him to the winter world tournament he was kicked off the rooster for playing for the 50;s team, But as I understand it he can play for the 60's team but the coach has to call in to ssusa for every tournament to put him on the roster. |

Your "catch" is different because the player involved has played "out of rating" by two levels (50-Major=8 / 60-Major=6) and requires a manual roster override each time because he is being granted an exception for the maximum of one time having done so ... In the hypothetical stated, the Rating Index numbers are identical and it has nothing to do with being a 10-year age difference ... |

| Oct. 23 boston Men's 60 355 posts | Player rating This is very interesting. How does a player that played in this years Worlds at 50-M, 60-M and 55-AA pull this off? I just finished playing 55-M at Worlds but am 60. So I take it I am am classified as a 60-M player. As I see it, I am able to play any of the 50's or 55's divisions. Since they are less than 2 ratings index below |
| Oct. 23 Webbie25 Men's 70 2414 posts | Player rating Tony-since you played 55-M, that is your rating. That allows you to only play 60 M+, 55-M, or 50AAA to be an even across rating. You could play 55-M+, or 50-M, or 50-M+ as they are a step up from your rating. I believe teams are allowed 3 players from a higher division, but only one level, so you could also play 55-AAA, or 50-AA. Am I right, Dave? |

I would like to thank the Universal Lending Lasers, 50-AAA, Rio Grande 55's-55-M, and Chain Link-60-M+ for giving me the opportunity to play this year with them. I had a lot of fun and got to know a lot of class players that I had barely known, a lot better. Thanks! |

So anybody can access it anytime, all the time? I overheard several guys in a fall ball league a couple nights ago, trying to figure out where they can play in different age divisions. This would be helpful. MAYBE under the "Ratings" Tab already on this site? |

We do not rate players, but a player who has 60-Major team history experience IS ALLOWED to play 55-AAA, if he is otherwise eligible as to residency and player-release status because both team rating level index numbers = 6 ... That player does NOT constitute being an "out of rating" player on the destination team's roster ... |
