Miken Freak Black
Just got my Miken Freak Black from Alan today. Has anybody swung one and if so how was it? It's raining pretty hard here so I haven't got to take it out yet.

I had one that lasted about 400 swings. Good bat with good pop.

Purchased two from Allen for team bats because of durability expectations. No issue with durability so far(several hundred hits on each), don't think they have the pop of several others though. But as they say, you can't have your cake and eat it to.

I quit playing ball at the A level 7 years ago and have not played since then due to lack of interest. I did a lot of research on bats due to my engineering background and I ended up buying a freak black. I think there are hotter out of the wrapper bats and hotter in general. I have a about 200 swings on mine and it is just starting to get hot. It doesn’t really sound like the other senior bats but I hit one of the longest balls that I have hit using it this week. Everyone one seems to use a Dudley or hyper-z and they were looking at it like what is that. I bought it because of the warranty and didn’t want to spend extra money on a hobby. Whether it goes 305 or 400 feet is indifferent on the end result. Just be patient and I think you will be pleasantly surprised

Any idea how it compares to the Miken Ultra II?

Believe it or not, but I actually like my Miken DC-41 better than the Miken Freak Black, maybe my Miken Freak is a dud or I just never seem to hit well with it. Please don't take my opinion seriously, I am only stating my experience and how I feel about the bats. Maybe just psychological, when I get a DC-41 in my hands I am going to get a hit. When I put the Freak in my hands, no confidence.

GREAT BAT WHILE IT LASTED. THIRD SWING, 340. 80TH SWING....CRACKKKKKK! HAPPENNED AT ALANS SPRING TRAINING. BOUGHT A DUDLEY EL 12" (ALREADY HAD A 13" THAT I STILL USE) FROM ALAN AND NEVER LOOKED BACK. I HAVE ABOUT 250 TO 300 SWINGS ON IT AND IF IT GETS ANY HOTTER, I'LL NEED OVEN MITTS TO CARRY IT TO THE PLATE! LOVED THE MIKENS BUT NOT MADE OF MONEY, SO GOING FOR DURABILITY!
