| July 31, 2015 Big Mike 84 posts | It is with a sad heart It is with a heavy heart I must pull the plug on the PNW Disabled Warriors team. I can no longer afford to do it. I thank everyone for your help over the years, but it has just gotten to expensive to fund out of my own pockets. We have tried several times to get a sponsor to at least help defray the costs a little, but to no avail. We couldn't bring name recognition, so, nothing came along. We only played an outside team maybe a couple times a month, so not a big draw. But, honestly, if you could have seen these young guys and gals pour their hearts out every time they stepped, rolled or hobbled out on to the field, your heart would just burst. We weren't good but sometimes acts of astonishment occurred, and plays made the boggled the mind. Again, thank you to everyone who helped make memories I will never forget. It has been a true blessing in my life. A bright spot for sure. |
