Aug. 10 local 169 posts | Western Nationals Observations We played up in Lincoln. I don't understand why we had to play on wet fields. It was so bad they had to use (Chem Dry) or whatever it is called to soak up the water on the warning track. If we wanted to play on wet fields we can save our money and play at home. P.S that is not an excuse for how we played. The operation of the tournament was very good. The umpires were the best we have seen in years. They were very professional and did not try to make the game about them. I don't remember the names with the exception of Paul, Mary and Marcie. |
Aug. 10 swing for the fences Men's 50 1224 posts | Western Nationals Observations Sorry to hear about the field condition.. We had a field flooded in left center for the morning game but by the second game it dried out.. and was fine the next day.. We were at Maidu.. Only thing I would recommend to SSUSA is NEVER EVER HAVE A MAJOR PLUS TEAM PLAY ANY OTHER DIVISION IN BRACKET PLAY. It does affect the seeding! Unfair to the unfortunate teams that have to play them! IMO Other than that, we had a Great time and Good umps.. |
Aug. 11 Joe-SL Bulls Men's 50 16 posts | Western Nationals Observations SACRAMENTO SOFTBALL COMPLEX: No Shade in Dug Outs....... We played all 3 days at SAC Complex and no dugouts had shade at all. We had to go out of dugouts, stand under the trees for shade. I went and complained to directors, even advised them to go to Home Depot and buy some tarps at least. Nothing...............
