Hello guys,
A lot of info out there on new bats and I have received a lot of calls recently on one piece bats vs. 2 piece bats. I've always said a player needs to pick a top notch bat that FEELS good to them when swinging it and it most likely be the one they are the most successful with so.....I know a lot of players aren't real comfortable with how a lot of the newer two piece bats swing so you may want to consider the Combat Ambush with its new resin system. The Ambush delivers great performance and once broken in has a tremendous sweet spot. The balance point of both the end loaded and balanced version swing comfortably and are very easy to adapt to. If you have questions or want comparison information feel free to contact me and I'll try to help you out.

Alan,
I think the 'Break in' is what a lot of guys do not care for, time spent doing the thing hoping it will get there faster than it will in reality. Hot out of the wrapper is where its at.
Trouble there too is no two guys will get there at the same time with likable results because we are all different, abilities, power et al.
Hope your doing well.

Taits,
Good to hear from you. All is well in South Florida! Heading to the field now to test some prototypes on a new bat that I'm working on and then to the gym before leaving for the West Coast of Florida to play this weekend. You are very correct in your statement about the break in period. Most players don't want to spend the time hitting enough (but they should 😏) to get bats game ready. I will say technology has shortened that cycle on several bats while still giving us good durability. Only a few years ago bats that broke in quickly usually....broke quickly! Several companies have made great strides in that area and we now have a lot of good choices that don't require huge amounts of break in. This is a reason why we "tweaked" the Ambush in order to keep up with some of the very best of the best out there. You brought up a great point about individual players break in times. Some guys will take longer than others depending on swing speeds, mechanics, strength, and also the type and condition of the balls that they are using. I break in a lot of bats for guys and still notice subtle differences from bat to bat as we also must consider each bat is not perfectly like the one before. I again must point out that most of the companies that have had top tier bats out for more than one or 2 production runs are providing very consistent products for the most part. We will wait and see how some of the newcomers do in that department!

tri for people that get a new bat you should make a video showing the break in process with new bat tech and how it should sounds to know the bat is ready cause if u are week maybe it will get 20 more pitches than others but when the sound change they know the bat is ready but a good video showing the corret process will be great in my opinion i live in dominican republic and some people don't have idea of the power of the bat after the break in. i will try to find the combat ambush and tried but first i will try the rocket, patriot and combat ambush.

Allan has spoiled me, as he or one of his advisory staff puts a few whacks on my new bats.
