My eyes were in excellent condition until a few years back. I wear glasses for distance now but a relatively mild prescription. My business allows me to come in contact with a number of medical practitioners including optical professionals.

I asked one of my doctor friends if I should consider lasik surgery. He told me that sometimes our eyes can turn back around and adjust in the other direction therefor getting better once again. He said that lasik may correct distance or closeup but not both. He also said that it had not been out long enough to know what might take place over the long term. He recommended to me that I not do it and I have not.

Make sure to investigate thoroughly, ask many questions, get multiple opinions, don't jump too quickly.

Good Luck,
Ed Andrews
