LVSSA Winter Worlds
HI too all, since I have seen some negative comments about this tourney , I would like for someone out there to tell me for sure about this tourneyMy team the Indiana Classics 50 AAA will be coming to it in late Sept, this is our first time past PLano,Tx we will be driving all the way from indiana, well at least I am.What are the main rules ? do they use a mat? home run limit AAA? and major?,out the rules the same as ISSA? does this tourney draw a lot of teams, at least 10 or more for 50 AAA? I would really hate to get theer and only have 5 teams. Also could anyone recommend a good hotel close to the ball parks? with a phone number, not a real pricey one. Any help or comments welcomed, Thanks

I have one other comment, you will not find a better person in Steve Imlay and a person that loves the game of softball more then he does, he has played on my team when he was in Indiana and I know this banned for one year has to be a mistake on someones part and not on Steve's, Steve has always played by the rules ,as I do and my players.

ps- if you do not know what Steve looks like, go to my Indiana Classics web site, www. Indianaclassics.4t.com, and look on some of our pages, his picture is posted .

Our team from Cleveland played there last September. We got classified major even though we feel we're only a AAA team. When we played the better major teams, we got smoked. In fact, we were 0-5 in the Eastern Nationals major division and only a couple of games were close. As far as the fields were, the infields were excellent but outfields left a lot to be desired. I think we played 3 and one up on the HR's.Cheap motel is on Boulder Highway, Arizona Charlie's and they were the host motel. Not a lot of amenities, but OK on price. A lot of our guys had comp rooms on the strip and stayed there. Good luck driving. There should be cheap airline flights to Vegas and rental cars aren't all that much. Plus our plane took an extra 10 minutes or so and flew us over the Grand Canyon.
